SCIENCE CLUB

 Science club looks at recent exciting discoveries in science, unique animal behavior, real time observation of animals via webcams, discussion & questions, and experiments that can be done easily at
home
Some recent things we have covered include: weaver ant behavior, African Lion facts, advancements in robots looking and acting like humans, and observing a nesting pair of Bald Eagles near Bear

Book Club 

If you like to read, this is the club for you! This club is for 4th -6th-grade students. The book club is a club where we read a book, and we meet to discuss what we read. We usually talk it over with s t-shirt and popcorn. We meet every Wednesday from 2-3 pm. Reading is fun and is even more fun when you read with friends!

Beads And Strings 

 If you like to make things with beads and strings, this is the club for you! This club is for 2nd - 6th-grade students. We make crafts that you can hang in your room like a paper plate loom, a paper cup looms to use as a pencil holder, and many more crafts using beads and strings. We meet every Tuesday from 2-3 pm

Cooking 

Our club is open to 4th- 6th graders. We will be making desserts, appetizers, snacks and a few main dishes! I will be taking the first 15 to sign up on the link.
Important Information:
If you are absent more than 3 sessions, you will be dropped from the club.
Some ingredients will need to be purchased by families (not all)
Must be willing to learning, ok to make mistakes and have PRIDE.
We Meet:
Monday- 2:45-3:15 for food prep, material information, etc.
Friday- 2:45-3:45 for cooking session

ASES After School Program

After School Education and Safety (ASES) Program
Mission :To provide student centered, quality care programs during out-of-school hours to prepare college and career ready graduates.

To accomplish this mission, the Fresno Unified School District (FUSD) After School Education and Safety (ASES) Program strives to:
Provide opportunities for children to develop their skills.
Support student academic achievement in literacy, math proficiency, and EL redesignation.
Provide exposure to a wide variety of experiences.
Help children develop their unique talents and abilities.
Build character and leadership skills.
Provide a safe environment.
Increase motivation and connection to school.
Purpose:The FUSD After School Program provides structured tutorial and enrichment programs for school-age children. Programs are staffed with qualified after school personnel.

Days of Operation: The FUSD After School Program operates school days only. The program operates on a daily basis to coincide with the regular school calendar and operates from the end of the school day until 6:00 p.m. Students participating in the FUSD After School Program are required to participate in all the components of the program.

Homework
Academic Intervention (English Language Arts and Math)
Physical Fitness
Enrichment Activities

Peace Club 4th Grade

Mission and Vision: All students in 4th grade will learn how to solve real life problems through discussion, collaboration, art, poetry, and music.

Fourth graders who are interested in Peace Club can email Mrs. Orm at rom.orm@fresnnounified.org. Mrs. Orm will add him or her in Peace Club Channel through Teams. Please ask parent for permission to join peace club.
